Black Friday & Cyber Monday Travel Deals 2024

I’m always a little hesitant to share Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions—I’d never want to encourage excessive spending. That said, if you’ve got solid travel plans for the coming year, these sales can be a fantastic way to save on trips (or parts of trips) you were planning to book anyway.

While, in my opinion, airline deals tend to be underwhelming, tour companies, hotels, and car rental services often offer substantial discounts. For example, two years ago, my friend Sarah and I saved hundreds of dollars on an upcoming winter trip to Iceland by booking hotels, tours, and a car rental on Black Friday. Last year, I scored 40% off my hotel in Cusco, Peru, through Booking.com (though this year’s discounts cap at 35%).

Here are my favorite deals this year!

HOTELS

BOOKING.COM – Up to 35% off on new accommodation bookings at participating properties indicated by the Black Friday Deals label on the search results and room selection pages. T&C apply. Black Friday Deals will run from 21 November until 9:59 am CET of 4 December 2024 with stay dates from 21 November 2024 to 31 December 2025.

EXPEDIA.COM – Members of Expedia’s One Key™ rewards program (free to join) can save up to 30% off Black Friday deal hotels, available until December 4. These discounts apply to stays completed by December 15, 2025.

TOURS

G ADVENTURES (WORLDWIDE): G Adventures is a tour operator offering small-group trips in over 100 countries, focusing on sustainability and authentic cultural experiences. They are currently offering 10-30% off over 600 group tours worldwide. Must be booked between October 30, 2024 and December 3, 2024 at 23:59 EST. 

INTREPID TRAVEL (WORLDWIDE) – Intrepid Travel is an adventure travel company offering over 1,100 small group tours worldwide. They are offering up to 20% off select trips for new bookings made between November 14 and December 5, 2024, with travel dates from December 1, 2024, to December 14, 2025 (some blackout dates apply).

CONTEXT WALKING TOURS (WORLDWIDE): Context Travel offers expert-led tours, offering travelers a deeper understanding of history, art, and culture. Use the code MINDFUL for 15% off all tours, audio guides and talks (excludes gift cards) from Nov. 26th – Dec. 2nd 2024. (We used Context for a private tour of the Louvre once and we loved it!)

MANAWA (EUR0PE)– On Manawa you can book over 9000 adventure activities worldwide. Get 10% off from Black Friday through Cyber Monday with code BLACKWEEK24 . Manawa has quite a lot of adventure tours options in Europe, including Norway, Sweden, France, Portugal and Greece.

MOUNTAIN LODGES OF PERU – This past summer I did an amazing 7D lodge-to-lodge trek from Cusco to Machu Picchu. This company is offering 20-50% off select tours (including mine) for 2025 dates.

TRANSPORTATION

LAVA CAR RENTALS (ICELAND) – My favorite car rental company Lava Car Rentals is offering 15% off + 1 extra driver when you use code BLACKLAVA. (I’ve used Lava for my last 3 trips to Iceland!)

RENFE TRAINS (SPAIN/FRANCE) – For Black Friday, upgrade your Básico ticket to an  Elige ticket for only €1. And if you are travelling to France on AVE (high-speed) International, upgrade from a Básico ticket to an Elige Confort ticket for just €5, €6 or €10. (I just booked this one!)

EXTRAS

FLYTOGRAPHER – Flytographer connects travellers with local photographers in over 350 cities worldwide for fun vacation photoshoots (that last about an hour). They are offering 20% off sale on gift cards from Wednesday, Nov. 27th at 10am to midnight on Nov. 29th (PST). Only 500 gift cards available at the sale price.

Note: I’ve booked Flytographer on three occasions and have been pretty happy with the results. While I’ve yet to capture the perfect family photo, what matters most is finally having photos that include me too!
